The project emerges from the relentless relationship between the living and the dead. The abiding Crypt scorches the earth between a fragile society and unbreakable architecture. These immortal structures survived through thousands of years to tell the story of their mortal creators. Here is the eternal line between time and history.
Unlike stone relics of the past that withstand time, ancient Japanese architecture takes the approach of constant reborn. The approach of reborn is based on the death and renewal of nature. Powerful and mighty architecture yet dependent upon its mortal creators.
